A great poet once wrote that line. And now it has become a galvanizing moment in American Political history: Former President Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts.
It couldn't come at a worse time for the Former President, now neck-and-neck with President Joe Biden. But the future of appeals, delays, and arguing is very much guaranteed to occur in the very near future.
It's clear President Biden's team is overjoyed with this recent journey into the criminal courts. You could see the President's smile from miles away.
And once again, Former President Trump is muzzled, forced to be quiet after being lashed by people in the courts - yet again. We won't debate the morality of paying for sex. If it's legal in Las Vegas, what's the difference where it was done?
We skip the obvious points entirely. President Biden, 81, appears dull and listless at times. Even confused when leaving the podium - sometimes even ushered by his team off the stage very quickly.
I've seriously considered that President Joe Biden is merely acting - to see who falls out of line with his power base. "Who dares question the emperor, who is naked, about his lack of clothes?"
It will be a very interesting summer indeed. With the criminal trial of Hunter Biden - which begins on June 3, could prove very interesting.
Former President Trump's sentencing begins on July 11th, just four days before the GOP convention. It is still unknown who will be Trump's Vice President pick. I thought it would be Lindsay Graham, but I couldn't be more wrong.
I'm sure the former President has more tricks up his sleeve.
