Kristi Noem will be Homeland Security Secretary

Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota just received a massive promotion via the incoming Trump Administration: She will be serving as his Homeland Security secretary.

In news that hit the wire moments ago, it was announced and confirmed by 2 people familiar with the selection.

Noem will be working to take over the agency as Stephen Miller and Tom Homan - will serve more senior roles.

Trump's hardline promise to drive out illegal immigrants has caused his popularity to soar in recent months.

This massive jump in responsibility will be noticed by many and her leadership will be judged harshly should she fail.

The only fights Noem seemed to be good at picking was with her own state: Feuding with tribal lands and making them white hot angry.

A known opponent of the COVID-19 vaccines, she voiced opposition to masking and business closures.

And now, in the light of the president-elect, Trump calls her a "terrific person" - high praise for someone who was not known for stellar leadership.

But what really pissed off many news organizations and readers was the fact this person shot and killed her own dog because it was not "ideal for hunting." She called the dog untrainable and instead of taking this animal to a vet, she decided to kill it in cold blood herself.

This brutal approach to the inhumane treatment of animals was not unnoticed.

The president-elect is going to have his hands full with this one in charge.
