Recent appointments by the incoming president-elect Donald Trump is causing concern as numerous bomb threats were received by several cabinet nominees.

The FBI has said it was aware of several bomb threats and 'swatting' incidents. Threats were made against the Departments of Defence, Housing, Agriculture and Labor, and US ambassador to the United Nations.

The spokeswoman for Trump's transition team, Karoline Leavitt, said today:

"the Trump appointees “were targeted in violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them”.

She said that several people had been targeted and "law enforcement acted quickly to ensure" their safety.

"With President Trump as our example, dangerous acts of intimidation and violence will not deter us,” she said.

The White House said in a statement today:

"The White House is in touch with federal law enforcement and the President-elect’s team, and continues to monitor the situation closely."

It was an unbelievable moment this past summer when Trump was not once, but twice had assassination attempts on his life. Never has any threats happened since the attack on Ronald Reagan in the 1980's. Reagan later survived that attack, but the attack left Secret Service agent James Brady with permanent brain damage.
