Stone News Network is relaxing tonight, and we dearly hope you have a safe and happy 2025!
The news is a never-ending business of scoops and scandals. In a highly competitive business where seconds count, I have insight into what drives people to read stories.
Our news site was launched 2 years ago and continues to run on this modest platform. We are grateful to the many readers who come back daily to check on new stories.
Please remember, this is not a large company, and I only do the news during my after-work hours. You can imagine how difficult it can be to write a news story, only after spending 8 hours on the phone or in person, working with clients on Information Technology issues.
I enjoy journalism and hope to continue to provide provocative, interesting stories to my loyal readers. Do know we will always be reporting on the United States of America exclusively - and - from a Republican viewpoint.
And although we technically exist in Calgary, Alberta, Canada - we're never far from Washington D.C. by heart.
The Canadian politics scene never really interested me. I find the U.S. politics fascinating. I enjoy writing about the juicy details that pop up unexpectedly - and if we ever get a story wrong, we're hopeful to apologize immediately and offer a follow-up.
And so, as we roll into 2025, please take due care and NOT drink and drive. Take a cab, call a friend, uber, whatever you have to - just don't drive. It's not worth it.
