Designing a Company

Staffing

This will shock a lot of people, but I intend to have only a staff of females in my company, excluding myself. Why is this so? To be honest, the PTSD I have amassed from working with men in the I.T. industry has been horrendous. If you think working in Information Technology is easy for a man, it is not. I was literally flirted with daily, sometimes with obvious body language and words. This included email, text, teams, and phone communication. And although it goes against the equal employment, I don't give a damn. There will be a strict enforcement of no sexual harassment at my company. Zero.

Visitors

There will be absolutely no tours or visitors to my studio or sets. Due to the security risk, people will be using Teams, Skype, Cisco Webex, Zoom, or other calls to have guests online. And there will be a strict adherence to decency while people are being interviewed. Which means: If we catch a man masturbating online in a Cisco Webex video, it they will be dropped AND banned for life. Simple as that. In this day and age, it is a sorry fact that most major news organizations have their hosts and/or guests masturbating on set. It is a very sad fact that morality in humanity has descended below animals. I shall not have that.

Technical Equipment

I lean towards Sony for the broadcasting equipment, including the switching and gear. This is because of the highest quality can only be found in NHK-style 4K broadcast cameras. We may consider other brands, but to be honest, I need to rely on quality products. My first camera to be used will be a non-Sony camera for outdoors and regular shoots: Panasonic GH5 for my "White House" update shots. I bought this camera for $4,000 a few years ago and will be putting it to work very soon. It uses a dual SDMC and live outs for streams.

Journalists

Eventually, as we grow into 24/7 coverage around the world, I'll need access to more journalists in the field. This means I will be gathering resources of people who are willing to contribute not only video, but written articles. This will help my organization gather steam and begin building a lasting legacy. It is important to note that this takes considerable amount of time. The competition for news is fierce and finding the right set of people will take longer than expected. I eventually want to have the entire world covered by my news organization. I know it can be done in time.

Streaming

A 24x7 stream to Youtube may be attempted, but ultimately I'll need to source a cloud solution to back-end my news site. At this time I can only think of Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure. These two sites are very expensive and the data storage is enormous. I will not be streaming in 4K due to the bandwidth limitations of my current ISP provider. These require industrial fiber connections that are extremely expensive.

Broadcast Studio

One thing I noticed about many news organizations it they have copied their sets: Clear desks, news room visible in the back end, and the same chairs are used. I will have none of that. I want simple, clean, and basic elements of design. The desks should be wooden or black. There will be NO on-the-floor video projection. There will be substantial back-end LCD panels of 8.5 feet in length, about 8 panels should suffice. The resolution will be capped at 1080p for broadcasting initially.

I prefer a simple white-on-black design, with key splashes of color. This keeps the studio simple and interchangeable. I want the cameras to be mounted to the ceiling and have auto-gyroscopes. They will be operated in another room by female technicians.

There will be no one in the studio except hosts when running live. This is to prevent unwanted attention from staff. It's unfortunate that attraction happens, but this will be mitigated by controlling who has access to the sets.

Advertisers

You can expect the same advertisers from other broadcast studios. The costs will be markedly cheaper than Fox or CNN. This is to create an enticing opportunity for companies to view the studio via remote video. There will be absolutely no tours of my studios. Zero.

Bias

It's no rumor I am biased to the Republican Party. It's impossible to join because I am a Canadian citizen living in Alberta, Canada. My scope of news will be global and have zero coverage for Alberta. This is not only for my personal safety, but to optimize the coverage for United States of America and global coverage. We will not be imitating any other news organization. Our goal will be to provide honest and simple reporting.

In Conclusion

Don't expect this news site to jump immediately. I need to focus on news aggregates and sources of information. My continual push will be for honest and accurate news. And although the bulk majority of my work has been retweets or tweets, there will be more to come. SNN has joined up with Twitter and the Truth Network. I don't expect to launch into any more social media sites than that.

I have high hopes that this will succeed.

God speed.
