Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised to 'press on' with the mission to eliminate the terrorist group Hamas from Gaza. A recent United Nations Security Council resolution was blocked by the United States recently, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Going into the 3rd month of war, since the October 7th attack, the death toll has surpassed 17,700 - with apparently the majority being women and children. This doesn't include the 48,780 wounded in the conflict to date. The information was gathered from the Hamas-run Health Ministry.
With so much ruin and rubble in Gaza, there is no safe, livable area for Palestinians. The Hamas spokesperson Ashraf Al-Qidra condemned Israel's bombing of hospitals, ambulances, and medical teams.
Stone News Network could not confirm this information. The extent of devastation and destruction is clear: A total rebuild of the Palestinian society will be necessary. Even basic items such as water have to be trucked into the region now.
Israel claims that Hamas operates within hospitals and schools for children - using elaborate tunnels to hide weapons and ammunition. I have seen the videos from the IDF, and it's hard to refute this with video evidence.
Clearly there is a humanitarian issue within Gaza and the region. President Biden committed billions to support Israel, including the sale of tanks and ammunition worth more than $100 Million USD.
Videos of terrorists being caught and stripped to their underwear are shown on the internet and Youtube. Hands bound, they were lined up outside for processing to Israel's camps. Men with beards, holding AK-47's and crawling within buildings after being spotted by Israeli Forces brought a chilling reality to this: The men will either be killed or they surrender.
Israel has said 97 soldiers have died in the ground offensive since Hamas terrorists attacked on October 7. That raid killed 1,200 people - some children and elderly. Most of them were innocent civilians.
There are still American and Israeli hostages being held by Hamas. It is unknown if peace talks will ever be successful.
One hopes.
