Apple 16 Pro Sales Below Estimates

According to multiple news sources, the sales of iPhone 16's are considerably lower than the previous 15 models. During the first weekend, about 16 million phones were sold - down almost 13% year over year previously.

Demand for the more expensive 16 Pro and Pro Max are lower than they thought it would be. Apple has considerable hope that growth of their halo-phone, the Pro Max 16, would herald a new era of sales records.

One key fact is the new Apple intelligence won't be available even on the Pro Max phones until later that year. Apple will only start adding these in October, and in batches throughout the year.

We're not convinced about the unnecessary camera button that apple introduced on their phone. With competitors introducing multi-fold and snappy thin phones - what other gimmicks can Apple add which will lure more customers to their walled garden?
