Dancer Michaela Mabinty DePrince, 29, Died on Sept 13, 2024.

The 29-year-old, who starred in the 2021 ballet movie “Coppelia,” 
recently died from undisclosed causes, according to an announcement from her social media account Friday.


She starred in "Coppelia" and was on "Dancing with the Stars" in 2012. She was also in Beyonce's musical film "Lamonade" in 2016 which won an Emmy.

DePrince grew up in Sierra Leone, Africa and was a ballerina while in an orphanage. She made her debut with the Joburg Ballet in Johannesburg.

She was the youngest principal dancer at the Dance Theatre of Harlem. She was later at the Boston Ballet in 2021 with a leading role in 'Coppelia.'
