Hundreds of people have died in Lebanon today, after Israel launched an unprecedented attack across the country, injuring over 1,000 and killing hundreds of people - some women and children.
As Israel ramps up it's attack, the main roads were bogged down with people trying to get out of the war zone. The intensity and speed of these attacks are the most since 2006. The Health ministry claims about 492 people were killed and over 1600 wounded.
Dozens of dead women and children were in the casualty list. Why is Israel attacking Lebanon now?
Since the beginning of the attacks last October 7th, Hezbollah ahs been firing missiles and drones into Israel. With the recent pager and walkie talkie bombings that happened over the last week, tensions in the Middle East have escalated to the highest levels.
The U.S. military will be deploying an aircraft carrier into the area. Several high ranking Hezbollah leaders have been killed in recent weeks, helping stoke the fires of hell across both sides.
And while Israel continues to defend against attacks, it's clear the war continues on, with no signs of stopping in the near future.
