Tito Jackson Dead at 70

Tito Jackson, one of the founding members of the Jackson 5, has died in New Mexico. The 70-year old singer who was from Tulsa, Oklahoma, was transported to a hospital and later died.

The office of medical investigator has been asked to investigate Tito's death. They will attempt to determine his cause of death.

Known for performing a string of hits such as "ABC" and "I'll be there", past away on Sunday.

A spokesman for Janet Jackson said the singer suffered a heart attack while driving to Oklahoma from New Mexico. He had recently moved to a ranch in Claremore, Oklahoma, which is 25 miles north of Tulsa.

Toriano Adaryll Jackson was born on October 15, 1953 in Gary to Joe and Katherine (Scruse) Jackson. He is largely remembered to be the guitarist of the group, a skill he learned by watching his father. His father past away in 2018.

Tito used to play the guitar without his father's knowledge, and said in an old interview: 

“One day I broke the string and I didn’t know what to do about it,” he said. “He came home and saw the string broke and was really upset about it.”

Tito is the 2nd oldest of the Jacksons, followed by Jackie, in age by Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael.
