The Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, has said:
“There’s already been 116 tornado warnings, with 19 confirmed touchdowns throughout the state, nine flash flood warnings and four additional flood watches, with many, many more to come,” he said. “When the ports reopen, Florida Highway Patrol will be standing by to escort fuel trucks to service stations so that people will have access to fuel as they return to their homes.
“At this point, it is too dangerous to evaluate safely, so you have to hunker down,” he said.
