Israel has launched air strikes early Saturday in retaliation for the missile attacks Iran launched a few weeks ago. It's been 1 year since Israel started attacking Israel in response to the October massacre.
Here is what Israel said:
“The regime in Iran and its proxies in the region have been relentlessly attacking Israel since Oct. 7 ... including direct attacks from Iranian soil,” Israeli military spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said in a prerecorded video statement. “Like every other sovereign country in the world, the State of Israel has the right and the duty to respond.”
Explosions could be heard in Tehran, the capital of Iran. The government-ran media acknowledged the explosions as they said air defenses were activated around the city.
There was 2 attacks on Israel by Iran in the months that past, which was started by the Hamas attack. That attack, the October massacre, killed about 1200 people and 250 were taken hostage.
And now, 42,000 dead Palestinians later, including U.N. and press from different agencies. With the risk of low food and dwindling humanitarian aid, the U.S. sent a letter to Israel demanding they improve humanitarian help for the Gaza residents within 30 days - or lose U.S. arms support.
And as the shadow war between Iran and Israel escalates, we have to wonder what will happen to the people who live in Gaza - can they be helped?
