BEIRUT / JERUSALEM, OCT 3 (STONE NEWS NETWORK)
From out of nowhere, the U.S. is talking about taking out Iran's oil facilities as a retaliation for Tehran's missile attack on Israel. President Joe Biden was speaking on Thursday, meanwhile Israel's military struck a Beirut airport with more firepower.
"We're discussing that" Biden told reporters.
The tensions in the middle east have surged tremendously since the recent tit-for-tat attacks by Hamas, Israel, Hezbollah, and Iran.
"There is nothing going to happen today." Biden said. He would not support any nuclear strike on Iran's nuclear sites.
A U.S. official said Washington does not believe Israel has made up it's strategic decision yet on the response. If looking at Beirut is any indication, we could expect an incineration of some of Iran's key assets.
Hezbollah claims it has killed 17 Israeli troops in fighting. About 1.2 million Lebanese have been pushed out by the Israeli attacks, and 2,000 have been killed over the past year.
Most of them were over the past two weeks.
The growing tensions and escalating warfare has caused an explosion of attacks and a wary outlook for travelling. We caution visitors who must go to the Middle East to be extremely careful and never, ever, leave a secure area.
