If you want to believe that Canadians, as a whole, are extremely prosperous and benefitting unfairly against American works - you'd be wrong.
Many Canadians struggle with their jobs, the high cost of living, and the soaring rents. The fact that their own government packed up and left should tell you how bad it is in Canada. Technically, the Government of Canada is still running - on fumes - until March, when the prorogue ends.
The staggering fact is Canada is an immense nation of maybe 42 million people - if that. Spread out near the U.S. - Canadian border, it's shocking to hear Fentanyl is imported from Canada.
The components are expensive and the equipment to process such a precise and dangerous drug is impossible to hide. This isn't a methamphetamine DIY job.
It's obvious President Trump is blaming Canada for the drugs, and he seems to know more than he's telling everyone.
Without naming areas, one could imagine drugs coming in through shipping containers on the west and east cost. But do they? If you watched HBO's The Wire, a quick understanding on how underground drugs are transported. Shipping containers. Mostly cars leaving Montreal or Vancouver.
Canada has pledged to find and prove to President Trump they are doing something about this issue. Clearly, if it wasn't a big deal, he wouldn't have mentioned it.
I don't believe there's a single Canadian politician who supports the importation of drugs or components to make the dangerous drug Fentanyl.
I see people every day in downtown Calgary staggering around, half asleep, knocked out on this powerful drug. They apparently mix it with a powerful horse tranquilizer. No wonder people are nodding off in the middle of the street.
And we agree, this dangerous scourge of Fentanyl must be stopped. Who is to blame? Obviously the people involved in manufacturing, processing, distributing, and selling this awful drug.
Time will tell if Canada can determine what's happening in the kitchen.
And then there's border security. I don't imagine many Canadians dropping through the U.S. - Canada border easily. Migrating through the wilderness can be dangerous and lethal.
Rural people don't like people on their properties. And they sure as hell don't allow drugs to cross with their knowledge.
Should Canada build a fence? The worlds largest? This appears to be a re-run of the South Park episode "Blame Canada."
