Imagine Putting Your Uncle in Charge of U.S. Healthcare

Years and years of spouting anti-vaccine rhetoric has cost Robert F. Kennedy dearly. When pressed during today's hearing about whether he is a credible candidate or not - and we disagree he's a great candidate for the U.S.'s top health position. 

Instead, we get wrong answers from a man who clearly hasn't done any home work on how Medicare works, or where it's funded from.

"Medicare is fully paid for by the federal government."

IT IS NOT.

The actual states fund it. 

He then spoke about the "high cost premiums and high deductables".

THERE ISN'T ANY.

The program is virtually free. 

This longtime Democrat is supporting President Trump. An unbelievable moment of lunacy and madness.

He deferred his answers about abortion. 

His staggering and embarrassing loss in the primaries showed through.

And although Kennedy has discouraged vaccine use - an unbelievable position of stupidity. We cite Polio as a prime example of this. Had the vaccine never been discovered, there would be millions of Americans today living in iron lungs, trapped in their living rooms or basements, never escaping.

"Make America Healthy Again" - by NOT allowing this person a position even close to the U.S. healthcare authority.

Linking school shootings to antidepressant use is not science. Senator Tina Smith of Minnesota ripped Kennedy a new one by saying:

“These statements you’ve made linking antidepressants to school shootings reinforce the stigma that people who experience mental health face every single day,” said Smith, who shared she benefitted from using the drugs as a young woman.

"We just had a measles case in Rhode Island, and quite frankly, you frighten people."

An actual quote from the hearing.

I am surprised no one threw rotten fruit at this guy.

"Listen Kennedy, you have compared the CDC's work to Nazi deathcamps. To sexual abusers in the Catholic Church. Many of them belong in jail. To me those are disturbing characterizations of the CDC workers trying to keep Americans safe every single day."
