[TEL AVIV] Hostages from Gaza were in Israel Sunday evening, a few hours after the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas started. This is the first significant halt to hostilities since 15 months into the war.

President Biden said after the exchange: "Today, the guns in Gaza have gone silent."

Hundreds of aid trucks are no beginning to enter Gaza, providing much-needed relief to the war stricken region which has killed tens of thousands.

The released hostages from Hamas are young women - Doron Steinbrecher, 31, Romi Gonen, 24, Emily Damari, 28, and 4 more hostages are to be released in the next week.

Biden hopes that 2 Americans will be amongst the released hostages, as 33 people will be free for 1904 Palestinian prisoners and detainees.

They expect about 600 trucks a day to enter Gaza providing relief services and food. About 94 people are expected to be held in Gaza by Hamas, including 4 people held by Hamas since 2014. Unfortunately, the 2 people held since 2014 have long since died.

World leaders around the world are hopeful this will be the beginning of the end of war for Israel and Hamas.
