Superbowl Streaming Options

This could be a 3rd time win for the Kansas City Chiefs. All eyes are on the Superbowl today, and if you watched the pre-game shows, there is a clear theme: KC has a strong offense, will they overwhelm the Eagles?  We won't bore you with the details, but instead will be watching the game live, via NFL Game Pass. Protip: Don't sign up for the annual plan like I did a year ago, and be stuck with paying $239.88 worth of streaming you'll never use.

The best part? I get a last minute offer for $5 a month. But wait. If you read the 'fine print' -- it says "$5 for the first month, then $25.00 for the 11 other months". In other words, not only was there a price increase, but a substantial one. We're now up to $280 per year, including that "generous" $5 plan.

Read the fine print. Most subscriptions are cheaper if you agree to pay for a year, but in monthly installments. This makes cancelling the agreement impossible. This is where most, like myself, make a critical error.

They offered $25 a month, but cancel at any time. However, further reading might reveal penalties or other caveats.

Forget about using VPN - most streaming services won't allow you to watch from Canada to the United States of America. And vice versa.

Having used DAZN on and off for a year - it immediately blocked me when I attempted to stream from Seattle or Washington.

Having tried alternative stream providers before settling onto DAZN for 1 year - I found Paramount's service below par. They promised the Superbowl, but failed to deliver. I cancelled it within hours and signed up to DAZN.

Cancelling subscriptions is more difficult than you might think. They make it difficult on purpose: To lure you back with even deeper discounts.

So be aware this streaming season when looking for official Superbowl streams. Not every provider is going to give you what you want.
