Thunderbolt is history. Then the retina 5K displays came out from LG with plastic surrounding it. You could purchase the 6K Pro Display XDR, but it's prohibitively expensive. It'll set you back $5,000.
LED backlit-LCD's are going to be found in current apple display lineups. The next generation mini-LED displays with 27 inch displays and 5K resolution could be up next.
We could expect more modern backlit-technology on upcoming Apple products. With display technology far exceeding the cost of most Apple products, one wonders if there is a ceiling height to their halo-gadgets.
ProMotion could also be added, which is Apples adaptive-refresh rate, and can go up to 120 Hz. Coupled with the mini-LED technology, it offers a higher and more focused backlight, increased contrast, and more efficient display of light across the entire LCD panel.
