OPM Backs Down from Email Validation Threats

President Trumps administration has reversed course in requiring a response to DOGE's e-mail that was sent to all federal employees last week. The request stated 5 bullet points of what they "accomplished" last week, and the deadline was today at 12:00 PM EST.

Many workers are wrathful for being treated like working slaves, forced to justify their employment status.

We wouldn't want to know what the Pentagon or Military thought of this request. God help the person who walks through those hallways alone, even if accompanied by security guards if you're a D.O.G.E. representative. And we're sure they don't care about large tactical nicknames.

The Department of Health told their staff:  "There is no HHS expectation that HHS employees respond to OPM and there is no impact to your employment with the agency if you choose not to respond."

From NPR:

By late Monday afternoon, OPM updated its guidance to agencies, according to messages circulated at HHS and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). In a memo obtained by NPR, EEOC said that OPM told agencies to communicate to staff that "any employee response to the email is voluntary" and that "not responding will not be considered a resignation."

"They don't mean that in any way combatively with Elon. They're just saying there are some people that you don't want to really have them tell you what they're working on last week," the president said.

The coldness and ruthlessness can only be explained if someone is managing like a psychopath. We're not talking about President Donald Trump. The very fact people have too much authority shows you exactly how they behave when given tiny pieces of power by the president.

There are far more efficient ways to find out who's inactive in a company rather than using story-writing e-mails.

And we're fairly sure Artificial Intelligence would do a worse job than DOGE could ever do. And that says a lot about today's society.
