Greenlanders Are Angry and VP JD Vance is Heading There

In the latest itinerary change, Vice President JD Vance will be going to visit Greenland with his wife, along with a high-profile delegation. It should be interesting to note that only 6% of the population support joining the United States of America - if that.

"Looking forward to visiting Greenland on Friday," Vance wrote in a post, opens new tab on social media platform X. The post also had a video of Vance announcing the visit.

"A lot of other countries have threatened Greenland, have threatened to use its territories and its waterways to threaten the United States, to threaten Canada, and of course, to threaten the people of Greenland. So we are going to check out how things are going there," Vance said in the video.

"Unfortunately, leaders in both America and in Denmark, I think, ignored Greenland for far too long."

The optics on this couldn't be worse. Not only has the Trump Administration made Greenland angry, but they've also managed to get Denmark enraged. We can bet ol' JD will be down there using Air Force One, kicking tires as he leaves the tarmac, touching the ground softly, murmuring to himself, "soon".

It's not that President Trump wants him to visit Greenland anytime soon. He just wants him the hell out of his office. At any cost.

I can just sense these two barely get along. The seething hatred between them must be an awesome sight to behold.

I could be wrong.

I visited Greenland once - using Tinder. And I was surprised how many nice women are there. Unfortunately, there wasn't any matches. So I moved to Savannah, Georgia.

Back to the topic.

Is this the moment, like in ancient Roman times, where Julius Caesar marched across Gaul, and proclaimed it was his?

We doubt it.

The nice people of Greenland live here.

Fortunately, the President had his back. His statement was ready. And here we go:

"This is friendliness, not provocation. We're dealing with a lot of people from Greenland that would like to see something happen with respect to them being properly protected and properly taken care of. They're calling us. We're not calling them," Trump said on Monday.

Just watch the show.

Break out the popcorn. With one final bit of wisdom, VP JD Vance unleashed this upon the unwashed:

"The strategic partnership between the United States and Greenland has long played a vital role in our national and economic security. During World War Two, the United States established over a dozen military bases in Greenland to defend the North Atlantic from Nazi incursion. During the Cold War, the United States committed additional resources to Greenland to defend against Soviet missile attacks," the statement said.

"In the decades since, neglect and inaction from Danish leaders and past U.S. administrations have presented our adversaries with the opportunity to advance their own priorities in Greenland and the Arctic."

Go get 'em JD!!!
