CAPTURED: Murderer Vance Boelter

Vance Boelter is in custody, as reported by the Associated Press. Boelter had multiple shootings, and murdered Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hartman and her husband. He also injured Minnesota State Senator Joh Hoffman and his wife early Saturday morning.



Per AP:

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said Saturday the shootings appeared to be “politically motivated.”

Boelter, 57 years old, worked for a security company, Praetorian Guard Security, according to a law enforcement official. The company website says that Boelter served as the director of security patrols and has had training by people in the US military.

Minnesota senator John Hoffman and his wife were also shot at their home a short distance away, but both survived.

Police have arrested 57-year-old Vance Boelter, who they allege had a list of 70 targets at the time of the shooting. 

Mr Boelter's car and a hat were found near a wooded area in Sibley County, Minnesota, earlier on Sunday, local time.
