U.S. President Donald Trump had some stark words for Iran today while at the G-7 meeting in Alberta.
"Iran should have signed the "deal" I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!" Trump wrote.
Israel has issued several evacuation orders for Tehran, in certain areas where hundreds of thousands of people live. One area focused on an Iranian TV station.
Trump expressed hope that Iran would make a deal. "I think a deal will be signed. I think Iran is foolish not to sign one," he said.
It certainly would be remarkable if the leader of Iran met with President Trump in the Oval Office, to discuss terms of a deal. To President Trump, it's a transactional relationship. We don't believe the leaders of Tehran would understand, but maybe they would.
Business is business.

Tehran is home to around 10 million people, with around 17 million in the metropolitan area.
Shortly after Trump's post, Iranian media reported explosions and heavy air defense fire in Tehran. It's unclear if there was any relation between Trump's post and the attack.
