Editorial: Joining the War in Iran is a Mistake

It's easy to root for war from your comfy chair. It's another matter when you're actually one of the people who has to deploy to the theatre of war and deal with it.

United States of America's President Donald Trump is still thinking about that.

These aren't simple decisions.

We're fairly sure people who are above 40 years old really don't have fond memories of the 9/11 wars and even the disaster in Vietnam. Let's not talk about the Korean war, which, technically, ended in a stalemate. And people are still pissed about that one.

No.

Trump wants to remake America in the greatness that he thinks is his. America is a steadfast loyal ally to Israel. They provide them with almost all of their military equipment, and this equipment is very, very expensive.

Very expensive in terms of money, but also of political capital.

The more arms you give Israel, the more hatred gets directed to you by the other middle-eastern countries.

It's not so easy to balance.

So what should America do? Sit back, eat some popcorn, and continue to funnel endless amounts of warheads for Israel to annihilate Iran? This is a lopsided war.

Just like Ukraine, America became an invested partner for better or for worse.

Just how many wars can America fight at the same time?

Where do they draw the line, enough is enough?

Shouldn't America be at peace?

These are important questions. I don't think this problem is going to go away anytime soon. Iran has dug into the ground deep with their statements. They seem unwilling to strike a deal with Trump or Israel.

But no, we quickly devolve into endless finger pointing and blaming people. If you watch American news media, there is a massive divide between the democratic news stations and republican-leaning ones.

Sometimes it can become quite a lunatic fringe of belief systems.

Did they actually believe Bernie Sanders could be President?

How in the hell did Trump become president again?

Wow, great questions.

So what should exactly America do? Time will tell. Sanctioning Israeli politicians will do little to nothing to stop the war in Gaza or Iran.

Unfortunately, if Israel calls for America's help they will be obligated to help them. Seriously, and with respect here, do you think China or Russia will come running to their aid?

What a dangerous time to be alive in the middle east.
